Tristan's new moves

It's amazing how fast things change in a baby's world.  After being gone for just two days I came home to Tristan working hard on sitting himself up.  In just a few hours he figured out how to do it and started practicing his newfound skill.  As a precaution we lowered the mattress in his crib and good thing we did. The next morning we found him sitting up in the corner of the crib, desperately trying to grab a foot that had slipped between the grates.  I guess he's still intrigued by his toes.

This weekend he's also become more interested in food to the point of trying to feed himself.  He's quite a pro at shoving a pear chunk in his mouth though he has yet to figure out how to feed himself little stars (cereal snacks).  As I was feeding him cereal & banana the other day he was so desperate for food that he grabbed my spoon and shoved it all in his mouth.  This led to a veritable food fight. I was trying to wrestle the spoon away from him when he let go and splat the banana went onto the wall.  Next week we'll work on flipping pancakes.
