Two weekends ago we went to the pumpkin patch!  Took a drive out in a 'tractor' and picked a 'pumpkin'. Sebastien was only interested in the tractor. They had a petting farm where he demonstrated his knowledge of animal names, including goat. Not a word that Mihai or I taught him.  Everyday we are astounded by the new things he can do, especially the words we did not teach him.


    Today was the Halloween party at daycare. I had not planned on making him a costum. But then Jenny called to say there would be a party and to bring a costume.  Peer pressure.  I went to AC Moore. bought an adult xl sweatshirt, some felt and a monkey head head. Cut and sewed and cut some more to add some more fabric and sewed and glued and came up with a penguin costume for less than 10 dollars. (I mention the price because then mihai went out and bought 48 dollars worth of candy! he really thinks we will need that much.  thank you to faith for purchasing some of that from us and saving me the trouble of going back to the grocery store.)  This morning he wanted nothing to do with the costume, 'off off' shake head. Apparently this afternoon he couldn't get it on fast enough, to go outside and join the other kids.
