Updates
Sorry for the long delay in blogging. Everytime we do something fun or Sebastien does something cute, I think "Should blog that" and then time passes and it is too late.
The brief update.
Sebastien is in a 'toddler' bed: he is free to get in and out of bed as he pleases, without climbing over the railing (or falling over the railing as the case was). He does excercise this privelege. But I have resigned myself to this, as long as he is quiet. We have had a few incidents of his bear and pacifier falling out of bed in the middle of the night. We heard a thump last night, pretty sure he got out of bed, but by the time I got downstairs to rectifiy the problem he was face down in bed with his legs hanging out....
He is acquiring words. Last weekend we went to a 'farm' just south of DC, to see the 'cow', 'se' (horse), and 'she' (sheep). So happens there were alot of 'plane' as well (presumably landing at National). 'Car' and 'bus' are particular favorites. however his newest word is probably 'mine' (I wish he had waited a little longer for that one). I also think he said 'Enny" (jenny his day care provider) whom he is usually impatient to see in the mornings.
Bicycle rides are still a favorite. One way he communicates that he wants to play with bicycles is by tapping his head for his helmet. Can't argue with a child that is asking to wear the appropriate safety devices. In the swimming pool he likes his water wings.

He eats with chopsticks. Probably the way that chopsticks were first imagined to work, the stab method. more effective at getting dim sum from plate to mouth. Probably not as good as fingers, but every one was using them so Sebastien wanted to as well. Surf on over to Ann's blog to see pictures of that event.
Before Dim Sum last Sunday we went to Wheaton Regional Park. I wanted to take him to a new playground, but we ended up standing in line to ride the train. We have started to notice Sebastien getting shy around strangers. I like having a little boy cling to my legs, a little awkward though when you are trying to walk somewhere.

On the train with mummy:

Sunday we went to visit Kelly Katherine and Alex. We went swimming for the last time this year in an outdoor pool and then stayed for dinner. Sebastien excused himself from the dinner table and went to read books with Katherine. All the parents enjoyed a rather relaxed meal, not having to entertain two children. This is the first time I actually saw him play with another child. And while they both would rip toys and books from each others hand, neither one of them seemed to mind. (What a relief for now).

When we left late that night (Sebastien stayed up way past his bedtime) Katherine gave Sebastien a sweet hug goodbye. (Sebastien fell asleep in the car and went straight to bed. Night two of 'toddler' sleeping. Night one I found him on the floor.)

And lastly. More sleeping issues. Tuesday morning, no Mihai in our bed. I come down stairs hear some deep breathing from Sebastien's room and find this:

Sound asleep.
Good night. (next time I will resize the pictures smaller. Sorry)

Whoo hoo! the blog is back, baby - and I love the new color scheme, headers, etc. Very swanky. And thanks, too, for the blog link.
I can't believe how big Sebi is getting. I still remember the day you told us you were going to have a baby and it seems like just yesterday, and now he's almost a little boy. sniff! sob!
