First Day of DayCare
This morning, Mihai and I took Sebi off to day care. After a lot of phone calls, we found Jenny, a woman from Ecuador who lives one mile away, to take care of Baby. She plans on having four full time children in her care. Right now there is a gaggle of kids, until school starts next week or the week after.
Yestarday Sebi and I went shopping for day care clothes. Really, I wanted pants and light weight long sleeved shirts for him to wear when he is outside. He looked so preppy today for his first day of daycare. You probably can't tell, but the socks he is wearing are made to look like shoes! The pants are 12-18, I couldnt' bring myself to buy 9-12 month pants for him to grow out of in the next few weeks. (I'm am not sure how they come up with their sizing, but 12 month clothing is up to 22 lbs.) Our little baby is probably 20 pounds right now... So I bought two pairs of pants for him to grow into. I don't think he minds the extra length (it fits him around the tummy
He got a very good report from Jenny when I picked him up at 3:30. He had napped for two hours, and had put himself to sleep with his pacifier and blanket. The blanket Suzanna and mummy made for him was drapped on the pack-n-play where he sleeps. (I spent all weekend piecing a blanket from his bumper material, but have not quilted it.) He ate most of both bottles. What more could a mother want? No crying, except when he woke up, which he does. I guess he is disturbed to no longer being asleep?! He is reaching for toys.... I think this might work out.
sorry for the lack of posts and the lack of laughs in this one. I'm tired. my little boy did not sleep well last night. and nor did i. at one point in time i dreamt of a crying baby. appartently he did cry last night and mihai had to go down to pacifiy him. i'm glad that isn't my job. hopefully tomorrow we will post pictures of sebi and jenny.
sleep tight.

Good boy Sebastien! You look a bit like your Uncle Fern did when he was a baby in that picture. Rina, glad things went well, it always makes you feel better about leaving them in somebody elses care when they're happy. Quite an outfit he's wearing! He's going to daycare, not back to school!
