12 weeks!

(I meant to post this on the 2nd, but i was waiting to add pictures... our home computer bit the dust last night, so no pictures. here is the rant.)

My baby is twelve weeks old today!  Time has flown!  I barely remember the first few sleep deprieved weeks. These days we (Sebastien and I) are sleeping quite well. He goes to sleep around eight after being feed. I feed him again before I go to sleep (between 10 and 11).  The next feed is at 5:30. And we all go back to bed till eight!  Mihai gets to cater to Sebastien's cries between the 11 and 5 o'clock feeds, so his sleep isn't so good, but usually there is just one wake up. We've thought about trying to sleep train Sebastien so that Mihai does not have to get up in the middle of the night to put Sebastien back to sleep.  I also think that he doesn't NEED to eat at 5:30 in the morning... but he is just three months old. we can wait and see how things progress over the next few weeks/months (trying really hard to flow with the go regarding my baby). not to mention I go back to work on Wendesday.  The real implication of turning 12 weeks old
I'm going to miss my daily naps with my whale of a baby.  But the up side is that someone else gets to try and get Sebastien to sleep in his crib during the day.  he much prefers to sleep snuggled up to one of us, and who can blame him.  In a pinch we put him in his swing to sleep (the swing is curtesy of adam and kathy and much appreciated for its sleep inducing effects). (this pinch might occur every day, but who's keeping track?)

for news on sebastien:  he really dislikes lying down on his back for play time.  Reclining on his green dinosaur (thanks ciprian and dolo) or sitting up in his bumpo (he can't sit on his own - but this little device helps sit up, thanks piper and douglas) is the much prefered method of play these days.  He was sitting in the kitchen in his bumpo this morning while mihai made fried eggs. i left for a minute, came back and couldn't find my baby!  mihai had moved him and the bumpo to a chair so that we could all eat together!  (I think it might be time to buy a high chair - a little safer).

    happy mid summer.
