A princess and a pea
In this case the Princess is a Prince (Mihai) and the pea is a cat treat, but more about that in a bit. this story does involve a matress.
we had our old matress for six years. after about two years i started complaining bout how uncomfortable it was: i was tired of sleeping in mihai's dent. my complaints went unheeded. mihai started complaining when i was six months pregnant. not only would a new matress not help my sleep by that stage of my belly, why risk my water breaking on a new matress? so we agreed to get one after the birth. he started complaining again two weeks ago. no matress was going to (or will be) improving my sleep. until sebastien sleeps through the night, i'm getting up to feed him (the whole side lying feeding doesnt work for us). so i told mihai if he wanted a new bed, he had to do the research. he did (simmons beautyrest) and out went the family, one friday night, to buy a matress. sebastien dozed (more off than on) in his carseat while mihai and i tried out beds. (perhaps we should have consulted sebi, as he does have the prime real estate when he is in the bed.) our bed arrived last wednesday, and i can say the bed is quiet (so is sebastien when he is in it). it took some gettibg used to: my back was not accostumed to being supported, but i like it. mihai has decided his sleep has improved (hard for me to judge as he has always been good at sleeping through sebastiens night time murmurs (if the cacophany of sounds emmanating from the crib could be called that.)) this morning he declares that he had a hard time sleeping last night. that is until he removed the offending cat treat from under his back. (it must be nice.)
meanwhile, i believe our ten year warranty was voided this morning when our child voided his kidneys while being dried off on our bed...due to an earlier eruption.
sleep tight.
