baby watch +3
Down 56 flights of stairs and still our baby cannot be convinced to leave.
Anyone know how many vertical feet I probably descended? (info I couldn't readily find on the web).
or how far I walked down the stairs. Don't worry, I rode the elevator up :)
I'm running out of projects to work on around the house. And I really don't want to clean, sorry no nesting instincts at the moment. Any thoughts on how to pass this time would be greatly appreciated.

Steps in a office building tend to be in the range of 6.5 to 7 inches high and almost universally 11 inches deep. A flight of stairs (between landings - usually there's two flights between floors) typically will have about 10 risers (or about 20 risers between floors). Now it's just a math problem to figure out vertical travel. If you want to do total travel distance, you have to get Pythagoras involved. That's a project that will take up some time. And I've given you almost all the information you need to solve it. Enjoy!
